If you would like to use the default planting tag that is shipped with FOREground, you can find it in the content folder (exact location will vary based on year):
C:\Program Files\PrlxApps\FOREground\2023\content
The Planting tag (in Revit 23 and newer) is: 00-TAG-PLANTING-TYPE MARK_MULTI.rfa
Load this family into your project, and you have a tag ready to use.
For more information on this tag, or if you would like to modify your own tag to use the same parameters, continue below:
The Multi tag uses two parameters to count plants:
You can see how they can be used together in a single tag:
These two parameters are not usually intended to be used together. But because the Host Count parameter disappears when there is only a single host (count of 1), FOREground has an option to use both parameters. In the case of a single host, the Prlx parameter will activate and the user will see a 1 (which is typically the preferred/expected outcome). If the host increases at some point in the future, the Prlx parameter will be wiped and the Host Count will show again.
The easiest way to get these into your own tag, is to Copy/Paste the label from this Tag family into your own Tag family. This will bring in the Prlx Shared Parameter.
Here is another example, with parenthesis used in the Tag. In this case, the parentheses must be enclosed around both parameters, because they will disappear/appear with their associated parameter.
