Summary
Place component families at CAD blocks.
Description
- Select CAD Link- select the CAD link from the dropdown.
- Get Blocks- click this button after selecting the CAD file you want to use.
- Map Families to Blocks- after you read the blocks from the CAD file, they will appear in the list below. The Block Name is shown on the left, and all available Families will appear in the dropdown on the right.
- Search/Filter Types- this will search and filter through the Family and Type dropdown, to more quickly filter out the families you want to use.
- For each block that you want to import, select a corresponding family in the dropdown. Any blocks that are set to none will not import/place.
- Change Level- this is the level that the families will be hosted to.
- Select Host- select a host element (Slab or Topo element). This is optional. If no host is selected, the host will default to the Level.
- Set Rotation- options to modify the rotation of the families when placed. The options are:
- Do not rotate- Components will not be rotated.
- Rotate to align to line or edge- Components will all be rotated the same amount, to align along a picked line or edge.
- Rotate to match CAD block rotation- Components will all be rotated to match the direction of each associated CAD block.
